Charles is a queer, genderqueer, mixed-race, light-skinned latine from Laredo, TX. As an adult he moved to the northwest where they earned a BA in Multicultural Psychology from The Evergreen State College. With that he has worked in various counseling positions in Seattle, WA. such as group homes for foster care youth, for LGBTQ youth, and as an advocate where they counseled domestic violence survivors, mostly young people, in the LGBTQ community. These experiences led him to earn their MSW from Smith College School for Social Work. Following licensure he served for many years as a therapist in an outpatient mental health clinic. They now run a private practice as an Internal Family Systems therapist and an Intimacy From the Inside Out dyads+ therapist in Kingston New York.
