Avery is a transgender identified and kink-affirming provider who holds a Master of Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and LGBTQ+ Studies from Arizona State University. They have completed additional training in trauma-informed approaches, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, emotionally-focused therapy, and grief counseling. Avery has many years of experience working with LGBTQ+, alt sex, and poly/ENM communities using a sex-positive and affirming approach. They are a member of the 2023-2024 cohort of the University of Michigan’s Sex Education and Sex Therapy program, and are in ongoing supervision for professional certification in sex therapy.
