Yelena “Elaine” Blank

Psychologist
Trauma/Insomnia/LGBTQ+
PhD

I’m a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with LGBTQ+ folks, alternative relationship dynamics (including CNM and BDSM dynamics), PTSD/trauma, and sleep concerns including insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, and difficulties adjusting to CPAP use. I work with individuals of all ages, and am particularly excited about helping clients work through questions of identity, self-acceptance, and healthy boundaries. I am collaborative, warm, and non-judgmental, and I combine evidence-based practice with a person-centered approach — that is, I believe that you are the expert on your own life. I also speak geek — as a self-identified geek, I understand how fandom can be a force in our lives, often for the good. I welcome you to bring in your whole self to therapy.

In-Person Covid Protocols/Protections: For in-person visits, I use a well-fitting N95 mask and ask that my clients do the same. I do not require pre-session testing, but am happy to test if a client would feel more comfortable with that.
