I am Yana Calou (they/them), a queer nonbinary Brazilian-American somatic psychedelic integration specialist in NYC & facilitator of medicine journeys in Perú. A community organizer turned practitioner, I support people in creating healing relationships with the medicines of nature. I am a Hakomi practitioner, and student in the Shipibo-Konibo lineage of indigenous healers in the Peruvian Amazon for the last 11 years. I work with individuals and groups to support preparation and integration of psychedelic journeys, using a trauma-informed and collective liberation lens. I also currently facilitate for the Lopez-Sanchez family of onaya (plant doctors) at Niwe Rao Xobo.
