Hi hi, I’m Taisja (they/she)! I’m a Black, Puerto Rican queer, non-binary human currently studying at Teachers College to pursue my graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling. I was inspired to become a therapist in childhood by a burning desire to bridge the disparities found in less privileged (my) communities. I’m interested in working with adolescents and young adults who identify as queer, gender expansive, black, Afro Caribbean, neurodivergent, and/or disabled. I believe that everyone is doing their best with their current tools and I want to help you continue to grow your “toolbox”. Yes, super cliche! I know, but honestly, how we work together will be guided by your interests and strengths, and the work we do will move at the pace that feels best to you.
