Sarah Whitman-Salkin

Psychotherapist
Trauma/Identity/Depression
LCSW

Therapy is a process of deep exploration—of our experiences, our minds, and ourselves. Giving language to our experiences can be daunting; my role is to foster a space where you feel safe and supported to feel and express yourself, while gently deepening engagement with your inner and outer world.

I believe meaningful change begins in a relationship grounded in empathy, trust, and non-judgmental acceptance; I view the client-therapist relationship as sacred and reparative, offering space to heal attachment wounds and developmental trauma through human connection. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, based on relational therapy and psychodynamic theory, and informed by IFS, CBT, DBT skills, and somatic mindfulness, and rooted in social justice.
