Saipriya Valoth

Psychotherapist
LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, Anti-Oppressive
EdM, MA, MHC-LP

Emotional distress is too often pathologized or shamed when it’s actually an understandable response, especially given the context of living under systems of oppression (e.g, white supremacy culture, heterosexism, racisn, ableism, capitalism.) I view therapy as a safe, accountable space to explore and sit with hard feelings and the pain you may be carrying in hope of supporting your unburdening and healing process with time and trust. I have experience primarily working with LGBTQIA+ folks and/or BIPOC and draw from feminist, relational-cultural, and internal family systems theories and practices. As a therapist, I strive to be transparent, flexible, and humble and provide warm, expansive, affirming, anti-oppressive care that centers what you need and trusts the self-knowledge within you.
