I came to psychoanalysis because I was searching. After teaching in college for nearly two decades, I was ready to change. The psychoanalysis I practice attends to relationships of all kinds—how we relate to our self and how we’re in relationships with others.
Beyond my clinical practice, I’m the Chair of the Sexuality and Gender Initiative at the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis (MIP). I am also Associate Faculty at the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research, teach at several psychoanalytic institutes, and provide consultation for other clinicians.
My writing can be found in Parallax, The New Inquiry, Autotheory and Its Others, and other places. The essay for which I won the Symonds Prize (2023) was published in Studies in Gender and Sexuality.
