MJ Hart-N’Drin

Psychotherapist
Trauma/Grief/Queer/Trans/CPT
MHC-LP

I’m a queer, Black therapist and New York native. I support adolescents, adults, and elders as they navigate processing trauma, sexual abuse, queer identity, loss, major life transitions, relationship issues, mood disorders, and low self-esteem. My style is expressive and warm, and I lean into humor and genuineness to develop strong therapeutic alliances. My approach to therapy is guided by liberatory consciousness and trauma-informed principles. I use an integrative approach to help clients understand the ‘why’ behind their patterns, and reconnect with their sense of autonomy, self-compassion, and purpose at their own pace. Through our work together, I aim to offer clients a chance to write new stories about who they are and who they can grow to be.

I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem, Carelon, CDPHP, Cigna and Evernorth, Empire BCBS, GEHA, GHI, Horizon BCBS, MagnaCare, Meritain, MVP, NYSHIP, NYCE PPO, Optum, UMR, UBH, and Wellfleet.
