Michelle Luong

Psychotherapist
Queer/Trans/BIPOC/Trauma
LMSW

I work with adults, adolescents, and children who suffer from experiences of “otherness” shaped by race, gender, sexuality, and class. Often, people come to me with complaints of relationship difficulties, psychosomatic distress, depression, anxiety, overwhelm, and a general feeling of being stuck. As a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, I invite you to speak whatever comes to mind, listening closely to language, dreams, and slips of the tongue that reveal unconscious meanings and desires. Together, we explore automatic patterns, unknot inherited histories, and move towards aliveness, pleasure, and freedom. I offer presence, curiosity, non-judgment, care, and when fitting humor. When you are ready, I welcome you to reach out and begin this work together.

I am in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, BlueCross and BlueShield, BlueShield of Northeastern New York, Carelon Behavioral Health, CDPHP, Cigna and Evernorth, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.

In-Person Covid Protocols/Protections: Face masking available; medical grade air purifiers; exposure & protection protocols.
