Micah Hala

Psychotherapist/Social Worker
Gender/Queerness/Grief/Spirituality
LCSW

I am a Buddhist and relational psychotherapist and believe that healing arises through genuine presence, curiosity, and connection. My approach blends psychological insight, ethical inquiry with contemplative wisdom traditions, guiding you toward a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships and the world. I work with people navigating anxiety, interpersonal and family dynamics, grief, psychological distress and overwhelm, trauma, and spiritual or identity exploration. My clinical foundations include social work practice, psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment theory, parts work, body-centered awareness, and Buddhist mindfulness meditation practice. To me, therapy is not only about healing wounds, but about reclaiming our full humanity — our capacity for presence, and freedom.
