I am a queer certified somatic therapist trained at the Somatic Therapy Center, and based out of Brooklyn, NY. My practice is particularly sensitive to queer, trans, and sex worker communities, and rooted in a belief that white supremacy and ableism impacts our health. ALL clients are welcome, and it is my priority to create a space that is gender and experience affirming. In a session we use light touch. There is no adjustment, no massage. The purpose of touch is to bring heightened awareness to our sensations, which are considered the language of the body in somatic therapy. Sometimes our sensations, pain, anxiety, and depression feel confusing and harmful, but the reality is: our body does not have the ability to harm us. It is adapting.
