Liliana Valvano, LMSW (she/her) specializes in adult autism assessment. Liliana takes a neurodiversity-centered approach to assessment, understanding that autism is often overlooked in women, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC people. Liliana is trained in standardized autism assessment measures and also incorporates collaborative interviewing to ensure each client feels fully heard. Liliana also runs group therapy for autistic and otherwise neurodivergent adults focused on unpacking internalized ableism, developing coping devices, and understanding autistic identity. Group modalities include DBT, processing, and psychoeducational facilitated discussion.
In addition to Liliana’s clinical work, she also conducts research focused on the impacts of anti-autistic stigma on autistic adults.
