Hi, I’m Lee — a lesbian therapist/social worker based in Brooklyn. Two things I value are directness and kindness. I bring them into my practice and often use humor to neutralize work that is sensitive/activating so that we can look at it together. My areas of expertise include dialectical thinking (holding multiple things at once/duality), relationships (specifically polyamorous/non-monogamous ones) and operating in reality, rather than assumptions. I work part-time at Affirmative Therapy Collective, and I spend the other half of my week as a social worker in a psychiatric emergency room. My experience there includes working with folks experiencing acute psychosis, suicidal ideation and substance induced mood/psychotic disorders.
