Hi, I’m Joni, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State and owner of Rooted Mental Health Counseling, PLLC. I am passionate about empowering others to take control of their mental health. I graduated with my Masters of Arts in Counseling from Northwestern University where I gained experience utilizing Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Most of my experience has been working with adult individuals and couples on a variety of issues such as complex trauma, relational patterns, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I am passionate about accessible mental health care and am paneled with many major insurance providers as well as offer a sliding scale for those with intersecting identities who need financial support.
I am in-network with Aetna, Northwell, United, BCBS, Cigna, and Medicare.
