My name is Marvin (he/him/his). I am an advanced clinical social work intern from Columbia University. I am interested in working with folks who identify as LGBTQIA2S+, folks experiencing difficulty related to substance use, Asian-American immigrants, healthcare workers experiencing burnout, folks with a Christian upbringing, and folks who exist at the intersection of any of these identities. I think positionality is extremely important in discussing how we interact with each other and our environment. As a gay Asian-American male, I carry with me identities that have had an impact on my life, and because of that I bring a commitment to better understand how your lived experience, past and present, informs your current reality.
