I help people seeking transformative change in both their own lives and the world around them. My work is grounded in three interrelated processes: compassion, well-being, and liberation. By cultivating compassion-mindedness we develop the competencies and capacities needed to transform our own distress, as well as better contribute to transformative change for collective well-being and liberation. Individual, let alone collective, well-being and liberation has not been the goal of traditional mental health interventions. This is where my approach differs from other forms of psychotherapy. The distress we experience as individuals exists in relationship with the social contexts within which we live our lives, as does its transformation. I work on a progressive, income-based sliding-scale.
