I am a queer, nonbinary, Mexican-American, Tejana, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am a native Spanish speaker and have extensive experience providing therapy in Spanish. I work with a postmodern philosophy, meaning that I understand that ideas are created socially. Our understanding of ourselves is informed by our culture, community, friends, family, etc. Keeping this in mind, I support folks in creating meanings and understanding of their experience that feels more affirming. I use a nonjudgmental approach to create a safer space for reflection and healing for BIPoC folks and those that identify as queer, or gender expansive. I have over a decade of experience and training in working with LGBTQ couples, families, and individuals of various cultural backgrounds.
