Gabriela Carrillo

MSW Intern

My approach to therapy is rooted in holistic wellness, client autonomy, and liberatory frameworks. My identity as a queer, brown femme has affirmed the importance of centering self-awareness, love, and intergenerational relations within healing. Along with my lived experiences, my multidisciplinary education has informed my understanding of mental health within the context of power, oppression, and intersectionality. My goal is to help people navigate their healing journey by investing in a sincere and honest therapeutic relationship that fosters a healthy mind, body and spirit. My areas of focus and experience include: sexual violence, gender and sexuality, body image, QTBIPOC experiences, and herbal medicine. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.
