Eric Yarbrough

My career goals have been focused on the LGBTQ population working previously as both president of AGLP: The Association of LGBTQ Psychiatrists and Director of Psychiatry at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, one of the largest LGBTQ Medical Centers in the world. I also serviced as Chair of the Council on Minority Health and Health Disparities for the American Psychiatric Association.

My treatment style is eclectic, drawing on psychodynamic, relational, interpersonal, CBT, REBT, motivational interviewing, and supportive therapy models. I’m comfortable treating a wide range of symptoms including depression, anxiety, mania, and psychosis. My aim with medication management is to provide symptom relief ultimately using the least amount of medication at the lowest dose possible attempting to help people reach their own personal goals. Treatment can be provided in weekly sessions or monthly check-ins. More details are on my website.
