At the end of Inside Out, Joy realizes that she can’t protect Riley from sadness by pushing Sadness away. Instead, she learns that Riley’s well-being depends on allowing all her feelings, especially Sadness, to be felt and expressed. Even if you’ve never seen the movie, the takeaway is, we all have multiple different parts that make up who we are. My goal is to help you make space for all those parts to exist together, with care and compassion.

I utilize modalities like Internal Family Systems and DBT but my work also goes beyond traditional talk therapy. I incorporate somatic practices (working with the body’s sensations and movements) as well as elements of art and play therapy, creating space for healing that is creative, embodied, and affirming.
