Anya Katz

Hi! My name is Anya (they/he) and I’m a white, nonbinary, transmasculine psychotherapist. I am passionate about exploring the role that early caregiving relationships play in our current experiences of ourselves, our identities, and our connections to others. I see clinical work as an opportunity to recreate narratives of our pasts, presents, and futures in ways that honor rage, frustration, joy, and desire, while making space for us to fully comprehend and resist the stories that have both been told about us and to us.

My approach draws on liberatory, anti-oppressive, and psychodynamic perspectives and in working with clients, I am committed to providing room for a wide range of emotion and affect as well as creative space to explore dreams and possibilities around identity.
