Andrew Anson

Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist
Virtual Therapy and Analysis

Currently no openings for new patients, but (as time permits) offering a courtesy screening call/referral for LGBTQA+ individuals interested in psychoanalysis. I am a queer psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and designer in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. For the last ten years I have worked extensively with individuals exploring: sexual orientation; gender questioning and transitioning; polyamory, open, and non-traditional relationships; as well as a number of things that also happen in the lives of LGBTQA individuals: trauma, pregnancy, abortion, addiction, cancer, depression, anxiety disorders, grief and loss. I have published clinical writing on LGBTQ themes and enjoy pushing the psychoanalytic culture by presenting papers in drag. I’m currently developing a virtual psychotherapy platform as a way of innovating therapeutic work in an urban digital context.
